The authors reveal that skills primarily function as procedural anchors—stabilizing agent execution and action rather than simply injecting missing facts. However, they face significant bottlenecks in retrieval precision as candidate pools grow, and they ultimately fail when confronted with brittle assumptions, incompatible contexts, or insufficient adaptation.
