DeepInsight II bridges the gap between high-level foundation model evaluations and real-world physical robot deployments. While foundation models benefit from standardized evaluation frameworks, embodied AI layers (such as navigation, manipulation, and whole-building control) remain fragmented. Building upon the foundational abstractions introduced in DeepInsight v1 (Task, Resource, and Result), DeepInsight II provides empirical continuity from benchmark execution directly to matched robot evidence and repair-oriented diagnostics.

Across the Physical AI stack, evaluation maturity is inversely aligned with deployment risk: foundation models enjoy mature, standardized harnesses, while the embodied layers on which deployment actually turns remain fragmented across benchmark-specific simulators, embodiments, and interfaces.
DeepInsight II keeps the original substrate fixed and quantifies the embodied half through three primary contributions:
- Benchmark Replication: Reproduces released-checkpoint references across two navigation and four manipulation benchmarks under their native protocols.
- MotionBench Integration: Unifies four released whole-body controllers under a single workload and metric contract. It carries a qualified within-family cohort from parallel simulation to matched real-robot trials, where simulated and physical rollouts share a parent trace identity while retaining domain-specific records. This turns the sim-to-real gap into a native reduction rather than an ad-hoc reconciliation across toolchains.
- Composed System (2–1–0) Diagnosis: Extends trace localization into five evidence-grounded handoff labels, each mapped to a concrete repair action, complete with a measured repairability criterion and physical episodes testing the same attribution under hardware-observable states.
